Our experience across the metals value chain is worth its weight in gold.

Auramet purchases and sells gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, and rhenium contained in almost every form including bullion, doré, ingot, scrap, sponge, gauze, grain, chemical solution, concentrate, powder, and carbon.  We can also assist companies with their base metal by-product materials including copper, zinc, nickel, lead and tin (typically in concentrate form).

Metals

Gold

Auramet’s origins are most closely linked to the gold market; our very name suggests the metal and Auramet’s founders were long active in gold prior to the formation of the company in 2004. In the last five years, Auramet has purchased on average between 6 and 8 million ounces annually. We have long standing relationships with suppliers located in most of the major gold producing countries of the world.

Silver

Having the highest electrical conductivity among all metals makes silver vital for several New Energy Economy industries. The coatings of photovoltaic cells for solar power, for example, contain silver as do all the electronic contacts in electric and hybrid vehicles. Nuclear power and energy storage also rely on silver as do hydrogen fuel cell makers.

Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium

Platinum, palladium, and rhodium are principally used to produce catalytic converters to control automotive emissions. Platinum is also the single most critical metal for the hydrogen fuel cell industry, to which Auramet has been increasingly providing metal.

Iridium

Proton exchange membrane (“PEM”) water electrolysis, one of the key hydrogen production technologies, relies on iridium as a key input. Auramet provides this metal to companies on the forefront of building PEM electrolyzers which allow for the clean production of hydrogen.

Ruthenium

Used to manufacture alloys, to make certain metals more resistant to corrosion, and for electrical contacts of all sorts, ruthenium is a versatile metal which is also used in the production of catalytic converters.

Rhenium

One of the rarest and most dense elements on earth, rhenium is used by several industries, and its unique catalytic properties allow it to reduce the environmental impact of various chemical processes.

Base Metals

Auramet can also assist companies with their base metal by-product materials including copper, zinc, nickel, lead and tin (typically in concentrate form).

Battery Metals

At the nexus of mining finance and the metals supply chain, Auramet is uniquely positioned to provide financing and project finance advisory services to lithium, graphite, cobalt, and nickel producers.
